Beth Hart - Live at Paradiso

I think Beth Hart's "Live at Paradiso" may be the best rock and blues concert video ever made. Her energy is unbelievable. Either this woman is possessed or she is the greatest rocker of a generation. The passion she exudes and the genuine connection she makes with her fans is refreshing to see. Beth Hart is no cookie-cutter, over produced, teen idol that we hear on pop radio these days. Beth Hart is the real deal.
The songs "Broken & Ugly", "Immortal", and her rendition of Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" alone make the DVD worth the price. Imagine a mixture of Robert Plant, Janis Joplin, and Axl Rose and you start to get a sense of the incredible talent of Beth Hart.
A word of warning to parents: Hart's lyrics, language, and on stage gyrations would probably result in this video being rated R if released into theaters and will be too much for kids under (at least) 15 years of age. But, she is an artist I would want my daughters to experience when they are older and able to better separate art from reality. Beth Hart's clear command of everything going on and her obvious musical talent (both vocally and instrumentally) are wonderful things to see and hear.
